It seems to me that MSNBC/etc. are trying to create close races that aren't even there.

Iowa and Michigan "leaning" Obama?? A consistent 8-10 point lead is "leaning"?? Obama's been leading or tied in three recent North Dakota polls and it's still "leaning" McCain? Same for WV where we're now throwing $$$ into (partly because we can). Sounds like those last two oughta be tossups. And Virginia still a tossup? The same Virginia where Obama has averaged an 8 point lead according to RealClearPolitics?

Is the MSM trying to create a close race that may or may not be there?

3. If they had stated flat ouin August that Obama would win who
would be watching their bullshit now?

We pretty much finished watching any political programming in September - can't stand it anymore.

4. Of course they are.. Drama brings viewers. Viewers bring
sponsors, and sponsors bring money.

This race HAS to seem close for these guys.

5. Yes, earlier Andrea Mitchell was trying to say the turn out for Republicans
was just as high as the Dems.. when clearly the 60% advantage of Dems coming out for early voting has been shown.. people are NOT excited about Republicans this year.

7. She and her husband use numbers different from most but that
doesn't keep them from trying to shove them down our throats.

6. Perception = Reality..
if enough people believe the race is close, it's easier to steal.

10. I agree
I think that if people think this is not a runnaway, Mccain could get more votes but people today are not that gulliable and the internet are excellent sources of information

9. Race that isnt there ... Just need to be Cautious about polls
This is the media's job to create doubt among voters. If they cant invoke the race card, they invoke the polls, if they cant do that they talk about Sarah Palin Joe the plummer. It depends upon which news anchor you get or which station you get. If I were you, I would accept real clear politics as the true indicator
