I just saw my best friend's name on some kind of Palin's 1000 Women List
She and I were on the same page a couple of months ago. When Palin was chosen, she was one of the people who connected with her as a down to earth (?) person. That was the last time I spoke with her about politics. I am disappointed. We have disagreed about lots of stuff over the years, and have remained friends. This one feels painful. Ugh.
7. I have good friends whose spouses, who I also consider to be friends
voting for McCain. Sometimes if you really care about someone and don't want to lose them, you have to accept that fear makes people do things we abhor. Kind of like how Obama was willing to cut Rev. Wright slack. he can't disown him anymore than he can his own grandmother. I won't disown my mother because she's voting for Mccain. I will however, steer clear from her until after election day.
