1. Um they really aren't doing him any favors
The more you see of him the more he sounds like a crazy old coot.

Exposure is not McPOW's friend. He doesn't wear well.

10. That's what I think, too. They see him or his nutcase running mate
and think, oh no you don't! Not four years of THIS.

15. Always wanted to ask but how did you come up with that screen name?
Probably one of the best ones here.

I am thinking you might be a scuba diver? I had a friend who scuba dived and went to Tahiti every year.

20. Yup. Scuba diver and have vacationed in Tahiti three times ... two weeks each, diving.

I adore it there. It's everything I could have asked for within reason. The people are terrific and the whole "South Seas" thing is even better in reality than in imagination.

One of the places I vistited n a dive excursion is the island of Tetiaroa ... an atoll and nature preserve owned by Marlon Brando's family (through his Tahitian wife).

It's fucking AWESOME! Every photo i've ever seen, including those backlit glass pictures, of white coral sand, brilliant, electric blue water, beuatiful blue skies, and lush palm trees hanging over the beach ... becomes TRUE in reality on that island. It's the kind of place that makes you thank God you have eyeballs ... and could gratefully say that even if struck blind the next day, at least you saw the stark beauty of an unspoiled South Seas island. It's just incredible.

See http://www.onlytahiti.com/IslandOfTetiaroa.html I was THERE. It's far MORE beautiful in person than ANY photo can depict.

The Island of Moorea is where the Brando version of "Mutiny on the Bounty" was filmed ... and the REALITY is as good as the movie. Awesome beaches and foliage and geography ... and GORGEOUS people.

Then there's Paul Gauguin. His art comes alive in Tahiti. Believe it.

If there's a Heaven ... at least one corner of it will be like Tahiti. I have no doubt.

5. He spoke for 11 minutes. Does anyone know how long he went
on MSNBC this morning? I think it was like 12 minutes. That gives him 23 minutes so far today versus 5 minutes before they had "problems with their signal" during the Obama rally in St. Louis.

Edited on Sat Oct-18-08 03:08 PM by NNN0LHI
Obama has already won California. No sense in wasting money there.

Now if you guys could just get rid of governor Ahnold that would be great.

13. Yea but if we lose a Senator or Congressman to sickness or death I would rather have ...
... Feinstein replacing that person with another Dem than a Repig as Ahnold would.

The comparison is not even close. I can see that from way over here in Illinois.

16. Well, that's true. Ahrnold has been horrible AND stupid.
Newsom might run, too. He does pretty well with indys and with Republicans because of his business background. In any case, we have to shore up CA because they came THIS CLOSE to rigging our elections.

I don't know if you remember but Ahnold appointed a new Republican Secretary of State and in 2006, I wasn't even sure we could have a mostly clean election any more. That's was close.

I was hoping it was a bad joke when I read about her considering a run for governor. I absolutely refused to vote for her last time she ran for the senate. I hope the democrats can find someone other than her.
