Sign thieves in the night
Once again, some cowardly Republican pile of shit stole our Obama sign last night. This time, the scum replaced the sign with a McCain sign.

Instead of pulling it up, my wife went out with a scissors and sliced the McCain sign to ribbons. So it's there, advertising our feelings, next to the Udall sign, which the slimeball didn't steal.

If the mangled McCain sign gets replaced during the night with a whole one, I think I'll try putting a big circle with a line through it, using black marker, unless the marker won't work on that surface.

2. You should make one out of sheet metal
And dig the foundation for it about a meter deep.

3. Thankfully, Dems are getting back at the Repukes here
The Dems signed so, then the Repuke signs go. The Repukes always seem to initiate the tit-for-tat though - slimy little cowards that they are.

5. It's really hard to get Obama signs here
"Here" being Denver. I gather there's a shortage of them everywhere.

No shortage of unused, available McCain signs, I'm sure!

8. I ordered three more signs from Obama's site
I'm not confident they'll get here very fast but, if they do, I'll happily donate one to you.

I'm in the Platte Park neighborhood.

11. Thanks. I might take you up on that.
The one that was stolen was given to us by a student of my wife's who's active in the party. She might have more available.

6. What county in Colorado?
It's not so bad in Boulder county. We've been lucky so far in our neighborhood. Seven out of ten yards on this block have political signs, albeit mostly democratic. Luckily the Obama-Biden and McCain-Palin signs are coexisting peacefully.

9. Denver
I'm in the far southwest corner of the city, in Bear Valley. That's no longer as whitebread Republican as it used to be, and there are a fair number of Obama and Udall signs in the area, as well as signs taking the proper positions on various amendments. There are very few McCain signs, in fact.

7. Next time, use some blue paint or painter's tape
to obscure the two "c's" on the top name and the "l" on the bottom one.

You end up with: M AIN
PA IN

Then stick another Obama sign next to them but make sure you smear it with capsaicin cream, habanero peppers whizzed with a little water and dish soap, or even just a liberal amount of Tabasco.

No, it won't save your sign. The thief will get a nice surprise when he rubs his eyes or tries to pee, though.
