About this Chris Matthews business, people getting all upset over the crazy lady,
Rep. Bachmann, i believe.

Since that interview has aired, i have read that her opponent has raised somewhere in the neighborhood of 80,000 dollars.

apparently keith olbermann and rachel maddow have already contacted him to be on their shows.

the best thing that Chris Matthews could have done for that woman would have been to shut her down early, before she did all the hard work and dug her own grave.

1. I got the impression that he wiped the floor with her as she sank deeper and deeper ...
into a circular argument. her position was actually indefensible.

4. The main thing is...
she can't run back and say Tweety beat her up, or didn't let her have her say...he didn't put words in her mouth or goad her into anything...he gave her the platform and she jumped off, head first.

3. Chris Matthews wanted America see who's running loose in...
Washington.

Chris sees who's winning and he wants to make some brownie points with the democrats, to make up for his kissing Bush's ass all that time. I'll never forget how Chris drooled over Bush's dismount and landing on the Aircraft Carrier. Or how Chris drooled again over the way Fred Thompson "smells"

7. Well, I will
Don't we have to make room for people who have finally figured it out. Are we really going to lock the door just because we got here earlier?

9. Chris gave her all the rope she needed to hang herself and her party.
I felt like Katrina vanden Heuvel, I could hardly breathe when that McCarthyite finished with her vitriol. People that still have a brain cell left see these hate mongers for what they are and the 30 percenters are just LOST anyway. Chris played her like a fiddle, IMHO.

12. She Hung Herself...He did The Right Thing
Tweety is an agent provacteur...his job is to stir up the shit. He's not there to defend Democrats or even to offer "equal time" should some asshat like Bachmann come on and spew their bullshit.

Tweety let this babe go on...just kept giving her more rope as she dug herself in deeper. He knew what she was saying and how inflamatory...and the quick reaction shows that others saw it that was as well. The more he let her ramble, the worse damage she did...and, hopefully, this will include losing her House seat. That would be pure schadenfraude.
