9. The company is called "FLS."
Fucking Liars and Scumbags is what it stands for, I believe. But I could be wrong. We should all call them and ask.

11. Could This Be The End Of Robocalls???
I've seen this company mentioned before in making these calls...Talkingpoints Memo has been great in finding these companies and finding out who operates them.

Here's hoping the Obama campaign stays away from any robo-calling and that those getting calls from Gramps will react negatively. These calls are an irritant and, for some people, a tremendous violation of their privacy...the return on these calls is always more negative than positive.

I know in some states, it's illegal to place an automated solicitation call...I'd love to see a sleezy company like this one shut down for violating those laws or the Do Not Call list.

12. From your link
FLS-DCI has been one of the largest corporate receipents of funds from the Republican National Committee in 2004. FLS-DCI has close ties to key White House advisor Karl Rove and others in the GOP.

------------
It's probaly the same source of the robo calls against McCain in 2000 claiming he had an african-american child out of wedlock and the other outragous claims.

14. Chamber of Commerce connection
These guys are tied at the hip:

"“Joint and several liability reform has been a long standing priority for the business community, local governments, schools and non-profits. Grassroots wins the day in politics and FLS was an invaluable partner in implementing a targeted program to help secure the votes needed to pass this major legislation.”

—David C. Olson
President, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
Chair, Civil Justice Coalition"

20. The Robocalls are backfiring
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081018/NEWS0502/810180435
<snip>
Among Hoosiers who received one of the calls is Melissa Achtien, a 48-year-old Fishers mother of four who said she came home from a soccer meeting to find the message attacking Obama on her voice mail.

It was, she said, "a very ugly call about being afraid of Obama because of his association with Ayers. We are afraid about our jobs, our 401(k), et cetera. But using the politics of fear that a U.S. senator is palling around with terrorists is just ridiculous. There's no honor or integrity in that."

Achtien -- wearing a "Republicans For Obama" button at a news conference organized by Democrats -- said she's never voted for a Democrat before but will support Obama this year.

James Davis, a 68-year-old Indianapolis man, also received one of the calls. And, he said, it's why he's now going to vote for Obama.

Keep calling Rethugs!!!
