Nobody loves America

The whole notion is ridiculous.

1. Noone knows America and you cannot possibly love what you don't know.
An average person gets to know less than 10,000 individuals in his or her entire life.
That includes every athlete, anchor, pundit, actor you ever see or hear.
Even if you loved every one of them that still would be a far cry from loving the entire country.

2. Everyone hates a bunch of things and persons in America.
We hate Rush Limbaugh. And he hates us. We are all Americans, right?
If you hate the parts how can you claim you love the whole thing?

The truth is that every American love certain things, ideas and persons that are parts of America while at the same time hates just as many things, ideas and persons that are also parts of America.

It's true to every country. Patriotism is one of the most bogus emotions invented by humans. It means nothing because it claims to mean everything.
