Seriously.

Ever since the GOP-controlled media started repeating the GOP talking point that Obama consorted with blah, blah, blah, all I'm hearing is "AIP is terrorists" and "Bill Ayers is a terrorist!"

Not everyone who is a shithead is a terrorist!

Remember, when the GOP first took a major dump on the Constitution and called it the "PATRIOT ACT?"

Soon after that, we discovered that our rights were disappearing because the moran in chief could unilaterally declare anyone he wanted to a "terrorist."

Looks like we've picked up his filthy habit.

We have to think about what constitutes a "terrorist" and stop calling everyone who broke a law a terrorist.

2. It helps if you're non-white
And you get bonus points if you seem somehow non-typical or, even better, non-Christian.

Or, alternatively, you can make a statement or take some sort of action contrary to Neocon "values."

4. It's the Salem Witch Trials all over again
The witch trials were all about settling neighborhood disputes. If you pissed someone off, their daughter and her friends would call you a witch.

9. If Afghani, you turn your neighbor over to the Northern Alliance for bounty.
Your neighbor will disappear to some sunny island like Cuba, or to a camp in Poland. Dispute settled.

8. They want us to believe that a terrorist is anyone who isn't a white, Chrsitian, male Republican!
It really pisses me off because the word "terrorist" has lost its meaning. It's casually used to describe anyone and everyone the RW wishes to smear, no crime or actual "terror" required! It's an insult to the 3000 people who were victims of actual terrorism on 9/11! :grr:

11. It's The Mighty Wurlitzer
The repugnicans have always been able to dumb down both messages and their audiences. The simpler the better...make one word create a wide range of reactions...like "librul" or "socialist" or "terrorist"...repeat early and often and soon a perjorative is made and can be used at any target of Rushbo's chosing. Terrorist is the ultimate boogieman...it still congers up the wild-eyed 60's radical whose still hell-bent to end the Vietnam War or Free Huey or avenge Kent State. So many repugnicans, like Gramps, are using this current war to relive and revise the Vietnam era...giving up in Iraq = admitting they were wrong about Vietnam as well. Thus he needs to revive the worst of the 60's to make his POW/military "cred" still get some mileage.

In the parallel universe, when the term "terrorist" is given, it's hard to remove. And the definition equates with anyone who is a threat to the GOOP status quo...like Michael Moore. No matter how conveluted, no matter how irrelevant, Ayers is now a symbol for these goons...a lifeboat to climb onto as their party sinks.

Remember, their game is Orwellian...it's to repeat the same message early and often...burn the simple in...thus the non-stop chatter from Faux and hate radio. In the past, this seepage has gone into "traditional media" and worked to Rove and the GOOP's advantage, but this time it's not hitting as many fear buttons as it once did.

Right now these messages are going into a smaller and smaller echo chamber...bucking up party that is imploding and trying to prevent the complete disolving until after the election.

Cheers...

14. Maybe posting on political sites...
 It doesn't matter. If they want you all they have to do is declare you an enemy and lock you up forever without recourse. It doesn't matter if you are an American citizen or not. The US Constitution is "Only a Goddamn Piece of Paper" you know....Habeas Corpus no longer exists in this "fatherland"....

...system. Bush's first Secretary of Education, Rod Paige (brought from Texas), called teachers' unions terrorist organizations. As a teacher, that certainly made me feel great. :sarcasm:
