And whose ass-tossing will make you smile the most in 2008?

For me it was George Allen. He had found out earlier in the year that one of his maternal grandparents had been Jewish. He couldn't have acted more embarrassed and ashamed by that, even going so far as to declare that he still plans to eat ham at a political rally. That, combined with the knowledge that he was being groomed for the Presidency, combined with his macaca moment...well, let's just say that my champagne cork was flying when he was handed his hat.

In 2008 it will be the demise of Elizabeth Dole. I find her smug, smarmy and completely disingenuous.

By the way, this discussion assumes that we will all be thrilled to never hear from Sarah Palin again.

8. Santorum was the other one I was considering. I loved it when in his concession
speech he said he wanted to "thank God". It's the only time I've had anything in common with that tool.

3. Richard Pombo. Pretty much the worst record on enviornmental issues imaginable.
To say I was quite pleased to see him go would be the understatement of the year.

19. Ditto. My late uncle hung on just long enough to see that happen ... and then died.
He lived in Hayworth's district and (literally) LIVED to see Hayworth tossed out. Hayworth was (and is) a disgusting example of a subhuman piece of shit.

20. Rick Santorum, in 2006. God, did we ever party for THAT one.
As for this year, I am deeply hopeful that Ann Barth will send Shelley Moore Capito back to Daddy in tears. God I loathe that woman. Getting rid of her will make West Virginia's Congressional delegation 100% BLUE.

:hi:

24. Katherine Harris and Ken Blackwell
Good riddance to both -- and the significance of getting Democratic Secretarys of State in both Ohio and California cannot be underestimated.
Can you imagine if we'd have to be fighting for California now because some partisan SOS?
