I pride myself on not saying I hate anyone, but the ugliness of the last few weeks has really made me hate anything branded "Republican."
I see McCain/Palin or Bush/Cheney stickers on cars, and I immediately begin to think horrific thoughts about the drivers, even though they could be the nicest people in the world. If I see a (admittedly very rare) McCain/Palin yard sign, I'm immediately filled with disgust, and want to wait just to see who walk of the house so I can hold up the loser "L" finger-sign on my forehead. I overheard women at a restaurant table next to me talk about Sarah Palin's cool glasses, and I wanted to shove their faces into their dinner plates.
Unhealthy? Very much so. And hopefully it will be cured on Nov. 4. ..... But the hate rallies, the Repug flyers in CA with Obama next to KFC and watermelon, the Tampa Repug bigwig who sent out an email joking about an Obama assasination - it makes me hate these people. Hopefully it's just an ephemeral thing, but for the next few weeks, I think I need to steer clear of RepubliKKKans.
