Any Austinites here? Just curious if you would vote for this guy

for Sheriff in Travis County. Wants to reduce marijuana possession to $500 fine class B misdemeanor, do away with tasers and will not allow Homeland Security to infiltrate his department (per radio interview).

Per website: Intimidation and arrogance will be replaced with dignity and respect toward the public. This is the image that we must personify. Coercion and unlawful influence will not be tolerated during questioning and interrogations.

He is a Republican strict Consitutionalist but I'm afraid I might have to vote for him if I lived there. But I haven't researched for any Democratic or other candidates either.
