no right to privacy, no equal pay for equal work, and loss of civil rights

1. And I don't believe he gives a
damn about any of those things. They are just tools for helping him become president. No, he is going for Emperor. He is morally and mentally challenged. Unfortunately, half of this country is also. At one time, many moons ago, I admired the man. Now he reminds me of a hyena.

2. Roe vs Wade will be overturned even if Obama wins.
Look at the ages of the Supreme Court justices.

Pro Roe vs Wade:

J.P. Stevens - 88
R.B. Ginsburg - 75
D. Souter - 69
S. Breyer - 70
A. Kennedy - 72

Anti Roe vs Wade:

J. Roberts - 53
S. Alito - 58
A. Scalia - 72
C. Thomas - 60

Even if Obama wins, and wins again in 2012, that still probably just stabilises the situation, because all the conservatives will still be around, and all he'll have been able to do is replace liberals with liberals. Unless the Democrats control the presidency continuously for the next 20-odd years, Roe vs Wade is likely to be overturned.

4. I wouldn't assume Roberts will hear/overturn R v W
He hasn't given any indication that he will and when asked about it he said that he believes in Judicial precedent and that this decision has already been made.

Future cases dealing with Abortion, I'm sure he will side with the Pro-life side, but it isn't a given that he will overturn Roe v Wade, or that he would even hear the case.

6. I don't agree at all. roberts is from the federalist society gang
and there is absolutely nothing in his record to indicate that he believes in precedent.

Just because he says one thing doesn't mean he won't do another

5. McCain is massively on record as seeking to overturn
Rose v. Wade (http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/meet-the-real-mccain/in-their-own-words.html)

So his answer last night about that was just another damned lie. He said there no SCOTUS litmus test for him...yeah sure John, you'll just be happy if it *happens* to get overturned, but whatever your appointees do is just fine by with you!

Roe v Wade is the Republicans biggest cash cow. They'll never trade her in.
