1. Yes, but Autism diagnosis has increased tremendously. Down Syndrome
isn't the only disability for children.

7. Sorry you are wrong on that one.
From fact check: Palin did not cut funding for special needs education in Alaska by 62 percent. She didn’t cut it at all. In fact, she increased funding and signed a bill that will triple per-pupil funding over three years for special needs students with high-cost requirements.

8. Except...
... all of that funding increase was for one program - Alaska Challenge Youth Academy - that was given its' own line on the budget.

And that program was less about special needs children and more about Juvenile Delinquents being scared straight by military school.

From http://www.factchecked.org/Downloads/LessonPlans/SlimingPalin/student.handout.5.phantom.62.percent.pdf

During Palin’s governorship, the funding amount for the Alaska Challenge Youth Academy (less concisely known as the ChalleNGe Program of the Alaska Military Youth Academy) actually increased. The rest of the special schools funding stayed the same – although there were a few small drops in SESA funding, which is based on a per-student allotment, because there were fewer K-12 students enrolled.

9. That's news to me
Can you supply me with a link for that? I read just what I posted here, so I need to know how I got it so wrong.

I appreciate your help. Thanks.

6. Not only that, but Sarah Palin understands better than every
American what it means to have a special needs child.

Pardon me while I vomit.

15. I was going to post something similar, but DU was about a level 10
He made one comment that sounded rather generic. But then he said something about Palin understands what parents with Autism are going through. She doesn't even understand everything a parent of a downs baby has to go through, let alone going through it when they are older. Trig is what, 6 months old now? And how much time has she spent with him lately?
