Did anyone notice that Palin used a polar bear pin today in her rally in Virginia?
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 09:48 PM by lunatica
It's a white polar bear on a white blouse so it's really easy to miss. I noticed it when Keith Olbermann was talking about how she admonished her supporters who she thought were booing her and who turned out to be people chanting 'louder' because they couldn't hear her.

It was easier to see in the video Keith used, but I can't find it. That's plain wrong.

1. She's been away from Alaska so long that she
probably misses killing them.

2. So?
Is there anything less interesting than Palin's accessories?

Who cares?

4. Well, for one she wants take them off the endangered list
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 09:55 PM by lunatica
She sued the government when they were put on the endangered list because their habitat was melting, which means they are now drowning, and reduced to eating other polar bears to survive. So to use them to accessorize herself is like Cruella DeVile killing the Dalmatian puppies so she can have the perfect fur coat.

17. Is that right?
I didn't know that.

Well, then, yeah, her accessories are of interest. Thanks for enlightening me. I have avoided all news of that woman because she's so distasteful.

Thanks again.

28. Putting the polar bears on the endangered list hinders the oil companies
From drilling more and more in Alaska. She's an oil babe all the way.

It's not like she wanted it to stand out. white on white. I bet almost no one noticed. Who looks at white on white?

8. Polar bear and AIP?
I've noticed her wearing this pin before but I have an idea
this may be a shout out to the Alaskan Independence
Party...they have as part of their logo or sign a polar bear
in this position. At least that is what my cynical mind is
telling me and also if this is some sort of code of hers she's
stupider than I thought in this day/age of bloggers who pay
attention to just this kind of stuff.

11. You may very well be right about the association with AIP
but nobody in the MSM better call her on it - I'm sure she has an explanation ready that would embarrass them (like an association with her baby). We also know she wants to destroy wolves and polar bears - has she ever shot a polar bear?

18. That's a much better picture
Her unrehearsed reaction to the people chanting 'louder' is also significant. She obviously has her snark ready for that comeback doesn't she? She makes a patriotic issue out of anyone who speaks out. She's such a mental midget.

It shouldn't be a surprise though. Everything and everybody is fair game to be used by her to prop herself up and bring her opponents down.

19. Tina Fey took a swipe at her pathetic attempts at "improvisation" ...
... when she did the Biden debate skit and said something like "Can I call you 'Joe?' Cuz I have a few things planned where I call you 'Joe'."

Funny stuff.

30. Someone called this very issue in to Stephanie Miller this morning
A woman called and said someone should look into this because the bear is the logo for the Alaskan Independent Party. It seems lots of people noticed it, or are reading DU.
