When we criticize America...
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 05:17 AM by MrScorpio
It's not because we're pining for some far off fjord, or wishing that we should all be speaking French.

We criticize America because we love it and we Goddamn straight want it to get its fucking shit together.

We criticize America like a parent calls a child on his or her bad behavior.

We criticize America because we understand that there are dire consequences for too many people here, and all around the world when we are fucking up.

We criticize America when it refuses to live up to its potential.

We know that we can be better.

Isn't it funny that the most hateful people in America only criticize it when it does the right things?

Isn't is funny that these backward fucks love the times when America craps all over everything, points at the crap with a smile and says, "Look at what I did"?

Isn't it funny that they act like co-dependents who are constantly abused by their spouses and always come back for more abuse?

Isn't it funny that they hate America's potential and will do everything in their power to stand in its way?

Of course, it's not funny. It's a God Damned shame.

Anyway, the time is up on these assholes and it's about fucking time, don't you think?

For the longest time America has been fucking up BIG TIME, and only a blind, frightened fool will see it otherwise.

Shit's gotta change. Change is so apropos... No wonder the Barack Obama has made the word the cornerstone of his campaign. His leadership for changed has been recognized. No need for focus groups or scientific study... it's common sense.

Change won't be easy. We all know it, but it will happen.

The assholes but fucked up America mighty good, thank you very much.

PS. I invite any brain dead, hate mongering, pee pants, racist dumb ass to challenge me if they disagree.

If they don't, they're either fucking cowards, or hypocrites, or both!

Happy Columbus Day!

4. I HATE columbus day. We celebrate a murderer, a torturer, the
man who caused the extermination of entire islands of innocents.

AND HE WAS A LUCKY FUCK UP, not an intrepid explorer who found what he was searching for. Indies? my ass.

America was found twice, once from the west, and far earlier from the east. America was fully populated by hundreds of indian tribes, until they were killed off, deliberately given disease, and starved.

fuck columbus. If we are to see the seeds of horrible acts done by America, let's start at the very beginning.

6. ?
"America was found twice, once from the west, and far earlier from the east." Those are both theories and Native people usually find both offensive! They will tell you they have always been here!,but I do think The Bering land bridge theory has some merit! The other one not so much! :toast:

8. the vikings had settlements on the canadian coast that long predated
chris the killer.

Check out Howard Zinn's superb history of America, from 1492. Or the several histories of the tribes of America and the destruction of central and south american civilizations.

The fact that we still celebrate this murderer is obscene. Then again, many things in this country are obscene.

9. Vikings would come to Cape Cod to fish long before Columbus
They just never moved here!

I grew up summers on the Bass River, where it is thought that they would anchor their boats near Rollins Pond (they found mooring holes drilled into some rocks there much like the same sort the Vikings used.)

10. Unconditional love is not a good thing. Conditional love is.
Love that says, hey, you're going down the wrong road.

Love that says, you need to think about this again.

Love that says, I cannot let you continue down this road to destruction.

Love that says, I'm willing to step in and help change things for the better.

I love this country, but I do NOT love it unconditionally.

America DOES need to change, because she's been going down a long, bad road for quite some time, and it's time to grab her by the scruff of her neck, and straighten her out!
