Post-Debate Video: McCain Flees, Obama Stays Forever
Here is that remarkable video from just after the < last presidential> debate. The news channels quickly cut to their commentators and spin rooms and such, but the C-SPAN cameras stayed as long as there was a candidate in the room.
I can't post the video because DU doesn't recognize the format, but read all the commentary about the vid and watch it at the link.

3. I saw it there too
McCain had 80 undecided voters eager to hang out, and left Barak and Michelle to work the room. And he wonders why he's behind. I hope hope McCain loses by more than 80 votes, but it sure would be a piss if the ones in that room gave it to Obama.

9. McLame fled backstage and watched the audience on the TV
Found the pics on a Mclame website that were captioned "post debate"...he didn't leave the building, he just went and hid. How pissed do you think he was to see the crowds gathering around the Obamas while HE was cowering backstage?

If ever there was a "caption this" goldmine, it's that website.

Lovely pics from the last few months. Especially when she posts pics of people carrying her/their luggage for them (yes, really). Put the fucking camera down and carry your OWN luggage.

And guess who was in all the pics of their backstage PRE debate pics with the Mclame camp? Lieberman.

He sure doesn't look very happy, and the home-wrecking thief doesn't seem too happy either.
Poor babies.
My heart does NOT bleed for these fuckers.

13. Wow, just like after the accident on the Forrestal in 1967
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/make_believe_maverick_the_real_john_mccain/page/4

Although he would soon regale The New York Times with tales of the heroism of the brave enlisted men who "stayed to help the pilots fight the fire," McCain took no part in dousing the flames himself. After going belowdecks and briefly helping sailors who were frantically trying to unload bombs from an elevator to the flight deck, McCain retreated to the safety of the "ready room," where off-duty pilots spent their noncombat hours talking trash and playing poker. There, McCain watched the conflagration unfold on the room's closed-circuit television — bearing distant witness to the valiant self-sacrifice of others who died trying to save the ship, pushing jets into the sea to keep their bombs from exploding on deck.

As the ship burned, McCain took a moment to mourn his misfortune; his combat career appeared to be going up in smoke. "This distressed me considerably," he recalls in Faith of My Fathers. "I feared my ambitions were among the casualties in the calamity that had claimed the Forrestal."

15. My gosh... I could watch that over and over
The cheeriest 11 minutes in months. Like a shot of vitamins. I already think of Obama as our president - not in some wishful way - but, as I watch him and Michelle, it takes a small effort to remember that the election is yet to come.

I, Mr. Dour Judgment, have never experienced such a thing before.........
