I give up. My reply to Anti-Obama email and on message forums.

I have gotten tired of trying to respond to these people in a reasonable, logical way. I have tired to discredit rumors and dispell lies, encouraged them to read Obama's plans and policies, and have tried to introduce sanity to insane disucssions. It does not work. My new reply to all of their messages is the following:

I still pop on my local fishwrap's forum now and then and interject some sanity but damn! it's a cesspool for sure.

4. Welcome to the club

I got a particularly virulent anti-Obama email a couple weeks ago, and made a civil rebuttal using reply-all. One of the recipients reported me to my isp for spamming her. But she accepted the original email from a mutual friend -- no complaint.

There are lots of Repubs like that out there who just don't care to hear anything but the chorus that tells them they're right, facts be damned. Their inability to deal with reality is a big reason this country is in the shithole.
