It all makes sense now. A lot of Muslims live in Algeria.
And Muslims don't eat pork. But they do eat fish sometimes. Especially if they live by the Mediterranean Sea, as some people in Algeria do. And what kind of fish live in the Mediterranean Sea? Pilchards.

In Vietnam, I don't think people eat pilchards very much. But they do eat... RICE. In fact, many of them grow rice on farms. And rice, as we know, is a GRAIN. What else is a grain? Semolina.

Now think about France. What do people think about when they think about France? The Eiffel Tower. Why? Because it's a symbol of the French Empire. Which no longer exists.

Therefore, it can be concluded that, far from being the meaningless product of a drug trip, "Semolina Pilchards Climbing Up The Eiffel Tower" in fact refers to Vietnam and Algeria, formerly French colonies, rising up against the French Empire and claiming their independence.

And if one is still in school, one is elementary. And if one is a businessman, one wears a penguin suit. Therefore, if one is in school to become a businessman, one is an Elementary Penguin. And Edgar Allen Poe obviously represents Western culture.

It could be noted that, after Algeria and Vietnam kicked French dominance to the curb (climbed up the Eiffel Tower), many young people in the west, who were being schooled to take their place in the conformist middle class, instead kicked Western culture to the curb and began singing Hari Krishna.

Hence, "Elementary penguin singing hari krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe."

4. And what did the U.S. government do
that made all those elementary penguins (U.S. college students) start singing Hari Krishna (become hippies)? They tried to stop the semolina people (Vietnamese farmers) from climbing up the Eiffel Tower (rising up against imperialism)!

Also, if one is sitting on a goldmine, it means one has a lot of money. Conversely, if one is sitting on a cornflake, it might mean that one has little or no money, which was the case with many African Americans before the Civil Rights Movement. So if racism stops you from having money, or even from riding in the front of the bus, what do you do? YOU BOYCOTT THE BUS COMPANY!
Therefore, "Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the bus to come" refers to African Americans not having any money and taking part in the Montgomery Bus Boycott to protest racism.

13. Well, not really - they didn't take the bus in Selma, so they had to wait for the van
owned by their employers to come and pick them up.

See???

5. Hey, here's your Corporation Tee-Shirt:

Note that the song was written in 1967, written BY JOHN LENNON. And Che Guevara was killed in 1967, ON JOHN LENNON'S BIRTHDAY. Capitalists, it can be noted, will put your body in an unmarked grave, your hands in a jar (they cut his hands off), and your face... on a shirt. They will kill you for a dollar and idolize you for a dime.

 :silly: :banghead:

A proven fine intelligent devoted constitutional scholar Senator with a calm insightful temperament and a record of helping balance injustice and securing international threats wants to help our country and give us his time for at least 4 years, and someone considers voting for a man who cannot keep a cool head for a week during a crisis, that someone is not considering the welfare of this country.

9. Wait... what?

This has... nothing to do with the presidential campaign. It's... about the Beatles. And the end of French Imperialism. And the Vietnam War. And hippies.

11. Well, I had no reference point other than the comparison to
the strange stories concocted by the right. Making a trip to French Imperialism and the Beatles is just enough to blow a fuse in my cerebrum.

It's a journey that everyone should probably take, but I feel the reality of this election is enough "through the looking glass" for me.

Sorry to have detoured your thread.
