1. Thanks for the heads up!
Love me some OpenOffice.org.

Hopefully 3.0 is better on OS X than 2.0 was. 2.0 was great on Windows but it was ungodly slow on my Macbook which has better overall specs than my Windows tower (except for video).

3. So few people need all the options on MS Office. Oo will do more than
enough for the vast majority of users. The Mac version looks pretty good.

4. OpenOffice REALLY rocks. I've found it to be much more stable than Microsoft Office.
  I really didn't think that would be the case but I was pleasantly surprised.

5. I've already used it. It's great. It doesn't need X11 with OSX. Yes!!
It launches really fast. The UI is very pleasant. I don't know how it looks on Windows, but it's pretty on OSX.

10. I Do A Ton Of Query Databases At Work On MSAccess. Do You Know How Their Version Is?
Does it use the same language? This is the first I've ever heard of them.

11. I have no idea. I don't use it very much, and haven't taken the time
to learn about it. Until today I've been using NeoOffice.
