Poll question: Is CA Proposition 8 Going To Pass?
I'm not looking for what you wish to happen. I'm hoping there are some CA voters here who have a really good feel on the state's pulse. I am a native Californian, eight years removed from my home state, and I feel pitifully out of touch.

Please tell me that signs point to Prop 8's failure. I want desperately to get married.

1. Not if I have anything to do with it.
That's all I know, really, is that if it passes I'm not going to let it be because I didn't fight hard enough, or register enough voters, or drive enough people to the polls on election day.

5. I hope we're all fighting hard against it.
I don't have a dime to spare, but I have some free time, and access to a lot of young first time voters on my college campus, so I'm doing the best I can with those.

If we win this we're going to do it on the ground level, by talking to people we know, encouraging young new voters (who are by far the most equality-minded demographic) to show up and vote, and by countering all the bullshit the yes on 8 people have been spewing in their ads.

2. It depends on the McCrazy v. Obama turnout.
