I'm So Stoked Seeing Springfield MO. In The News With The Obama Rally!
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 05:10 PM by remember2000forever
I was in the area years ago, looking for property. Got a little put off with the RED, RED, RED, Mentality and bailed but:

The people there were so nice and so real, and me coming from South Florida, I was really tempted to relocate, but did not.

It was so... nice to see these wonderful people reacting positive for an Obama Presidency. Good For Them And Good For Us! GO MO.!

1. CNN: McCAIN URGES CROWD TO RESPECT OBAMA!!!
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 05:14 PM by Pixel
Once again, I'm sorry for thead hijacking but I'm still not able to start a post.

CNN just covered McCain's rally, he told the crowd to be respectful of Obama!!!!

I KNOW, I WAS GOB SMACKED TOO!!!

Further, one a man in the crowd said he was afraid for his children, McCain said that Obama was a decent man and that you shouldn't be afraid if her were to become President!!!

OMG!!!

WHAT A TURN AROUND!!!

I ran outside to tell my husband, his response was; "There's something bigger going on here."

3. Another poster noted that McCain went into his Ayers routine immediately
so nothing has changed. McCain is still an asshole.

5. Here's the link to the story:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/10/mccain-walks-it-back-obam_n_133773.html

" is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States," he said, before adding: "If I didn't think I would be one heck of a better president I wouldn't be running."

McCain was subsequently booed."

6. Doesn't matter. The damage is done. McCain/Palin know exactly what they are doing and some feigned
response isn't going calm the fears they whipped up in their insane followers, nor is it meant too. Damage done and Mission Accomplished.

I'm kinda a new-be and want to be accommodating and always respect any fellow Duers so I guess that I need to be educated in this procedure?

7. Obama is pretty popular here. I live in the area, and was out running errands today
I wanted to go see Biden, but couldn't swing it. I decided to be there in spirit and sported an Obama tshirt.

I saw over 10 cars with Obama stickers, none with mcpain stickers, and 3 people asked me where they could get a shirt like mine. In this area, those two things put together are huge.
