There will be a huge sell off today in the last half hour of trading
I was just looking at the trading volumes for Dow Jones over the past 5 days and I saw how there was a massive spike in the volume towards the end of trading.

Same thing will happen today. Except that it is Friday so the sell off might be even worse.

1. Or there may be a huge buying frenzy in the closing minutes to suck up bargains.
because there are plenty of bargains to be had.

2. Hopefully, when buying eventually resumes, we will know that the
bottom had been reached. Right? (I'm an economic dummie.)

4. Short covering too.
Time to buy fairly soon. Good stocks out there are starting to look cheap.

11. They are bargains only if and when stocks go back up
We may be in for some sustained losses never before seen. There really is nothing to compare this with. It is not like the 29 crash or the 87 crash. This one is based upon many factors not excluding our National Debt and foreign policy..

16. Well, who turned out to be right?
Dow is currently up 44. There has been some serious buying in the last half hour.

5. Agreed. It's going down hard because noone will want to be left
holding the bag over the weekend. But...If it gets bad enough today, and if the G7 come up with a plan over the weekend, the market will either be closed on Monday or there will be the beginning of a decent rally lasting a few months. After that...who knows?

7. Correct, it will be worse. On the bright side, though
Monday's which follow bad Fridays are always excellent days for the market.

I call it the 2 o'clock drop. it's been happening all week. I suspect it will drop, oh somewhere in the area of, oh let's say 800 points down. Got to break that 8k barrier and keep it there at the closing bell!!
