DU is running PRO prop - 8 ads against gay marriage so...
I am wondering why. IF we click on them does that cost the anti-gay marriage campaign money? Or will the mormon church just make up for any expenses in their social engineering budget?

2. I don't see them. Any Duer that has made a small donation to DU can shut off the ads.

4. I have not seen the ads
are the ads sponsored by the Mormon church? Or is prop 8 sponsored by the Mormon church? I used to click on ads here offering to sell a poster of Ann Coulter, figuring it would both cost that organization and get DU some money. The google ads are sorta random, based on what we discuss. Hence the Coulter ads were there when DU had lots of threads about Coulter. It's not like the admins want to spend all their time screening ads. I think it's a double benefit though. Our opponents waste their money, win no support for their cause, and help to fund us.

For a while in GDP there were ads from Matt Blunt for Governor of Missouri, and that did not make much sense, since Blunt is a Republican. My response was to start a thread in support of Jay Nixon for Governor, although I certainly found it ironic that the Democrat's name was Nixon. The issue there for me was that the Blunt ads did not mention that he is a Republican.

5. I don't see them either but I have to wonder why
DU would allow them? Maybe they have to take all ads from their web site host? that even sounds a bit unbelievable. Why not write to the mods?

6. does it cost the bigots money?
Humm, not sure if they just pay a flat fee for the placement in rotation on the ad service but it sure would be nice if they got billed on a per click basis, it would be kind of nice to help impoverish those a-holes :)
