2. Franken used to be more of a DLC Democrat than a progressive.
I guess he must have changed.

3. Franken is more centrist than progressive, I think.
I'm a bit confused by that statement. Even if he was so progressive they do want their 60 senate votes don't they ? This statement makes no sense.

6. Maybe they are "afraid" that they will be fully responsible
if they get the 60 vote count. No one else to blame if they don't get things done.

It is an odd statement.

10. The conversation was about getting 60 votes.
He referred to 94 when the republicans swept congress and said the they wanted to win everything as long as Oliver North didn't win.

Chuck's point was kind of all over the place. One, he doesn't think that the Democrats really want 60 votes. He doesn't think the Democrats want 'Hollywood Liberals' to think they can run for office and win. And I think there was one more point as well, can't remember.

12. Todd is a blatant Republican and he didn't come out after leaving the Hill and C-Span appearances..
He was always this way, but he had to be careful on C-span. He is a snarky, uptight Republican pusher. He moved in as a Republican operative in plain sight with way too frequent appearances. He is an expert in bi partisan propaganda while pretending to be an journalist. He used to horrify me on C-Span.
