The repub mob is approaching the riot level
You can hear the fear and desperation in their voices, the panic, the terror. They are pleading with mccain to get even nastier against Obama, their patience is running out, they are terrified of mccain losing to a man who doesn't look like they do.

They are making shit up, hallucinating terrorists everywhere, in a paranoid frenzy. People often talk about riots breaking out, if they do, the repubs will be the first to throw Molotov cocktails and smash store fronts.

Liberals like to demonstrate peacefully, enraged loser repubs are likely to riot.

4. Are you talking about those idiot at the McCain/Palin nazi rallies?
I suspect that they are plants as well. Designed to incite the crowd.

19. Yup. That's why they're keeping the media away from the attendees.
Planted shit stirrers, a la the Brooks Brothers mob.

Hoping to cause riots and chaos across the country? I wouldn't put it past them.

13. Not so fast...
Rove is an agent of evil in every sense of the word. He's also rather artful in his delivery. I strongly suspect he's on the outside looking in this time around because the Republicans have lost their fighting edge. Now their just angry, and losing, and confused. Rove, for all his considerable sins, was never one to lose his head while everyone around him did.

What we are really seeing is the social conservative base of the Republican Party coming to the realization that they aren't calling the shots. They've been pumped up with all kinds of rhetoric and violent images all these years about how campaigns are a war against the forces of evil. They even got their VP nominee who shares this world view. Problem is the smart guys who are calling the shots in McCain's camp know more about running a race and understand the limits of negative campaigning. When the base realizes it's empowerment was really all about getting a bunch of yahoos to vote for anything with an R attached to it, they'll be even more angry. Rove would have never let his monster, the conservative base, get so wild and out of control that it threatens it's master.

Give the devil his due. Rove kept a lid on the violent tendencies of a group that will give everyone fits now that they've escaped from the laboratory.

18. I don't have the link handy, but there's a great article discussing Rove's legacy
in the latest Rolling Stone. I'll try to find the link later.

7. They feel the tidal wave and they know the support for Obama is huge.
And they probably keep hearing about all the undecided and newly registered voters out there. It can't feel good to them, just like the last 8 years haven't felt good to us.

11. Last week they disgusted me.
Now they're scaring me.

I'm afraid they will turn on an unsuspecting brown person in the crowd and beat him to death.

"Are there any queers in the theater tonight?

Get 'em up against the wall!

That one in the spotlight, he doesn't look right!

Get him up against the wall!

And that one looks Jewish... and that one's a coon!

Who let all this riff raff into the room?

That one's smoking a joint! And that one's got spots!

If I had my way, I'd have all of you shot!"

12. Hmm......
I can see it now, gun wielding rebels with confederate flags tattooed on their asses. Running around in the streets naked telling us the end is coming because we elected a man with a funny name.

Seriously, I'm not that concerned. In the event that they do riot - they will still be hopelessly outnumbered by those of us who think they're idiots.

Fuck them. Six years of unfettered blank checks and total control from 2001-2007 put us in this mess, and still they are irate that the American people refuse to hand them the keys to the car again.

Fuck them. I guess we are all traitors to them now. Now THEY hate America again. Just like when they started blowing up government buildings killing innocent children, and preparing to hide out in Montana with their guns in hand.

Fuck them. They can rot for all I care. America is taking back what has been stolen from them by the freedom hating Repigs.

26. The incidence of civil unrest on either side is heightened. Whether out & out riots...
or marauding packs of violent, bigoted, feeble minded functional illiterates the likelihood of such an expression is there; g.w. bush and the bush family having destroyed this world they will be held accountable by many. A convergence of several star-crossed lines is easy to see forming; when they do, the incidence of a clock stopping moment in time will have taken shape. It will be at that frozen moment in time when singing 'god bless the child that has its own' will no longer suffice. It will be from within that moment in time humanity will be offered a great opportunity: to reject the tyrannical cynicism of singular, or loosely formed seats of power via failed economic theories foisted upon what are political/civil matters; and return the fates of humanity to humans. Oh...

And tar & feather Grover Norquist

29. Reminds me of an old Tom Paxton song. . .
about Anita Bryant--the McCain campaign is giving people a "target acceptable to hate." Despite the comment from the man who claimed yesterday he was angry but not about the economy but by electing a socialist, I think those with money are losing more assets than I can claim in my modest portfolio (two small 401k's from past employments).
