The NOVEMBER SUPRISE: Some states are removing TWO voters for every ONE registered
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081009/ap_on_el_ge/voter_purges

"States have been trying to follow the Help America Vote Act of 2002 by removing the names of voters who should no longer be listed. But for every voter added to the rolls in the past two months in some states, election officials have removed two, the Times' review of the records found."

Oh - here are the states affected - see if you can guess what they have in common?

"The New York Times based its findings on reviews of state records and Social Security data, and said it had identified apparent problems in Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina."

3. Should we believe these elections officials? Or should we audit them like a fucking failed bank?
Personally, I lean towards the latter.

9. Last night, Rachel Maddow had our North Carolina governor on her show. She was talking with
him about the polls showing that Obama is ahead of McAnus and North Carolina could go BLUE for the first time since Carter.

Our Gov is Mike Easley, a Democrat, who is a good guy who was supporting Hillary but threw his support to Obama as soon as he beat Hillary in the primary.

Rachel asked Mike about the possibility of problems with election "irregularities". His response was something like there are always gonna be SOME problems but that there are many dedicated state elections employees who are looking into any allegations of inappropriate activities. So he's confident that it's not gonna be a problem.

Well, folks, when a politician like Mike Easley starts out pronouncing about our dedicated state employees taking care of us you'd better watch out.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Obama's campaign has registered hundreds of thousands of voters. If they all vote for him and the votes count we will sweep Obama in and Liddy Dole right out the door.

Let's hope those dedicated state employees are working overtime.

13. Just make sure that everyone double-checks to see if their voter registrations are still valid.
I've posted the NYTimes article and the urgent warning on several forums. Everyone of us can contact a few people to spread the word.

14. A friend of mine was purged in Virginia
And told something strange, that she could only re-register at the Social Services office that she goes to to get benefits and that she had missed the deadline to do so. I told her to contact her local Democratic chair person immediately and let them know this was going on.

17. America is France, "before" the Revolution! Repub Voting Machines
are a worry also. The rich know they are out numbered, so they make the voting machines. Voter registration, purging Democrat voters, Repubs need not worry.

18. Recommedations from Kennedy & Palast www.stealbackyourvote.org
1. DON'T MAIL IN YOUR BALLOT: millions of mailed ballot will be not be counted on the very smallest technicalities. Sadly, you will never know about it.

2. VOTE EARLY!: Vote as soon as your state allows. If you have been purged from the roll, you have a chance to fight back before election day.

3. REGISTER TO VOTE: Register to vote then double check to make sure your registration hasn't been dropped www.votersunite.org/info/RegInfo.asp

4.VOTE UNCONDITIONALLY, NOT PROVISIONALLY: If your right to vote is challanged, DO NOT accept a provisional ballot. It will likely go uncounted. Call Election Protection at 1-866-OUR-VOTE if your voting status is challanged.

Don't forget to bring your ID to the polls!

There's more. Go to www.stealbackyourvote.org to download the voting information guide.
