Break their back, crush their spirits
Break their back, crush their spirits

See, here's the deal -- we're going to win the White House, we're going to win big in the Senate, and we're going to rack up big gains in the House. Republicans know this and are preparing for the worst. Now think of 2004 -- we really thought Kerry was going to pull it off. Remember that? And remember how utterly devastated we were when Bush pulled it off? The pain was so much worse because we expected to win.

So with conservatives bracing for the worse, they won't experience the kind of pain we did. Not unless we deliver a defeat even worse than their worst nightmares. And I'll be honest with you -- I want them to hurt as much as we did. I want their spirits crushed, their backs broken...http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/9/11055/1670/758/624699

3. I'm actually ambivalent about this, here's why.
First let me say: OH YEAH I hear and feel what you're saying loud and clear. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead because of what these idiots voted for. They deserve to feel the guilt of the stupid thing they've done. Oh yeah. But here's the thing:

I also want us to show more class than they did when they won; the gloating, the arrogance, etc. I can still see it on their mean spirited little pink faces. I don't want to be like that.

I think the way I feel is somewhere in the middle. Am I wrong?

4. I don't know if you're wrong.
I know there's a lot of stuff to do. And I won't be there for all of it.

I know where I thought we'd be when I looked ahead from, say, 1970. I know it wasn't where we are now.

And I know some of the people to blame. They retarded progress on purpose. They seduced people into being 'low-information voter/citizens'.

A little beat down of the greed-head, war-monger, culturally backward seems good right now.

Am I wrong?

Probably...me and wrong are old friends.

5. No Sir you are NOT wrong.
You almost steal thoughts in my head.

Perhaps one small difference: I feel I share some of the blame. No, not as much as those poor blind fools, still I share some blame.

I was nice and comfy back in the days of Bill Clinton. Didn't seem all that necessary to do anything more than voting Democratic. I was wrong.

That's the one single reason I'm thankful for the presidency of George Nukular Bush. He WOKE ME UP. Like a bucket of shit in the face.
