OUCH! JC Penney says September sales fell 12.4%

J.C. Penney Co. said Wednesday that its September sales at stores open at least one year fell 12.4%. Analysts, on average, had expected same-store sales to fall 9.9%, according to Thomson Reuters. Total company sales in September fell 10.9%

1. Here's my problem with Penney's

Their ads are so great--then you come into the store and the stuff is not so great.

I went to one in Arizona that sucked...yet ours here is great.

Best food you EVER tasted...bar none.
I always look forward to her opening in September.
However, she didn't open in September and I searched down her number and called her the other day.
She said she wasn't opening this year because she doesn't think the economy will support eating out much longer.:(
I have to say she is probably right.

8. That's a shame

I write for a retail trade magazine and have interviewed a lot of shopowners. I don't even want to think about how many of those wonderful people are going to be closing their doors in the near future. :(

See, the Dems already have a retail stimulus package in place.
