Dear Rich Republicans:
Beware the furies you unleash by encouraging the angry demagoguery of the current McCain campaign. Once roused they are notoriously hard to direct.

Do you think that someone who would yell "Kill him!" or "Off with his Head" at your urging wouldn't let his basest, angry, dissaffected nature turn on you and your priviledge of wealth?

1. They haven't in over 200 years...
...why would they start now?

Unfortunately, the lower middle class and lower class Repubs I talk to don't see the rich as the problem -- they believe the garbage they are being fed by Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Fox News, that the current economic crisis was caused by poor people buying houses they couldn't afford, encouraged by liberals who coddle them and use our taxes to bail them out.

The war in Iraq would be over now, they say, if liberals in Congress wouldn't keep voting down funding for the troops, and would just support our troops!

The rich aren't the source of our problems, they say -- it's the liberals. Why turn on the rich?

Don't hold your breath waiting for a revolution in this country.

5. It's part of their "Horatio Alger" fantasy.
"Don't mess with the rich. I'm gonna BE rich someday, and when I am, I want all them privileges."

They really just want someone to hate, is all.

2. yep
They may listen to Limbaugh now but if/when a new voice incites their anger, if they realize how the wool was pulled over their eyes ... it may be directed at the greedy bastards who have used them so horribly.
