Big news from the McCain camp coming in the next couple of hours
Edited on Thu Oct-09-08 05:53 AM by Winnscott
I have no idea what this dramatic Politico headline means, but seems important:
http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/McCain_camp_making_news_in_the_morning.html

My guess: McCain endorses Obama.

6. Obama needs to release a real attack on McCain soon!
McCain is dominating the news with Ayers, a lot like the Swiftboat vets did. Instead of playing defense, and keeping that issue in the news day after day, Obama needs to pick an attack on McCain, and the Keating 5 is not that attacks, and smash him with it.

If Obama makes an issue, like McCain supporting a group made up of Nazis, then the media will have to split their smear coverage between two issues. Instead, Obama is allowing all smear coverage to focus on Ayers.

Obama needs to go on the offense and get off defense. It's time to fight fire with fire, not to try to throw water on fire.

Due to health problems Senator McCain withdraws. The Republican party promotes the punchline to 30 years of incompetence and malfeasance.

14. If McCain dumps Palin for Lieberman, he'll have to go to Luby's at 5:30 to draw a crowd
Which is where many of voters like to go between 5-6, anyway.

As to Michelle's addiction..must be as she dresses far better than Cindy for a mere fraction of Cindy's budget. You have to shop an awful lot to do that. Don't you?

since it is politico and they are nothing but a tool.
My guess is that Palin will be stepping down and they will pick a rapid republican to take her place on the ticket.
My guess is Gingrich.
It is actually a brilliant move because democrats have pinned so much on being able to bash Palin and many will see it that she was run out off of the ticket by the mean old Democrats. I predict a sympathy bump for McCain of 10%...+/- 2.

Edited to add this prediction (like so many at politico) was pulled straight from ass to the typewriter.

38. It's something they think will bring them up, big time.
They wouldn't smugly and coyly announce "something's coming" ahead of time if it were a negative like Troopergate. It's either the Obama Smear of All Time (in which case he's probably prepared), or the Great Policy Issue of All Time -- a retread which they hope to flog like hell. Maybe we're all getting 40 acres and a mule.

39. McCain would actually benefit by dumping Palin...
Choosing her was a major screw up and cost him the election.

Now he really needs to save himself and his political career by dumping her.

This will pretty lock int he White House for Obama but he will retain credibility.

?

Thoughts?
