Seven Mountains and the Joel's Army Plan for takeover
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/7/165650/170

I posted this link last night but EVERYBODY needs to see this. Caribou Barbie is up to her eyeballs in traitorous dominionist plotting. She is the backdoor through which they wish to seize more power for their dangerous brand of nutbaggery which involves the deaths of us all so that they can live in Jesus's totalitarian christian reich. This is not hyperbole. The Kos article is quite detailed and frightening.

I rarely shout BUT THIS NEEDS TO GET OUT!

And yes, Palin is pretty explicitly promoted as being one of the chosen of Joel's Army. In addition to that "Deborah Annointing" stuff, none less than Palin's mentor and darling of the Joel's Army movement Mary Glazier is rather actively promoting her as the Chosen One, politically speaking

I know exactly what these people would like to do to myself, my family and my friends.

Can I be frank? This bitch scares the shit out of me.

And DU is one of the few ways I can make others aware so we can fight back.

I just want this to get to as many eyes as possible. This needs to become common knowledge. The cockroaches are out from under the fridge and we have a chance to use a shoe on 'em. But we have to see them first. Please help. Thanks.

8. Dominionists terrify me
The crazy Muslim-sorts just want to kill me, that's fine, I can handle being killed, bound to happen sooner or later. But these people want to warp and corrupt everything around them, enslave the populace, and if they can, lead a march to armageddon in the hopes that their dead man on a stick will step out of the sky and take them to a land of eternal pleasure.

When they lose this election, we're going to see murders, assassinations, and bombings from them, like we did in the Clinton years, only magnified several times.

Extremist scare the hell out of me.. Either they are muslims, jews or cristians.. They are pretty much the same thing, extreme...

And from my point of view Dominionists look like a group of serious mentally ill people who should be treated with some medicine of sorts..

Why?.. Because even if we know that "the man on the cross" will came back, to judged everyone, we have no idea of when it would come.. We know just that it is promised in the Bible that it will happened.. Sometimes in the future.. Now have it not happened in more than 2000 year.. And I really doubt that this Palins, and the mob gang can possible manage to tempt Crist, or the other gay on the other side to come out and say hello.. I really doubt this Dominionists have no clue WHAT so ever... Yes they have been busy lately, to get into power. And they are indeed a danger and an cancer to the american republic as we once know it.. GWB was the cancer, the tumor if you like it.. But mr Bush, as the tumor can be fixed. It exist medicine to keep the illness in check, and even to kill the illness when the illness are withdrawing.. And an election where the "other gay" is elected aka Obama/Biden would definitely be the medicine to the US..

I also fear what the nut cases on the fringes of your political spectrum can do, if they was to loose the election. I would not be surprised if the american public was to discover how dangerous this people really are, and murders, assassinations, and bombing of clinics and the sort would be more common than in the last 8 year, when they had one of their own in the White House.. They are dangerous, and should be handles as toxic waste...

11. Thanks for linking to another great piece by dogemperor.
I posted some of his/her stuff awhile back, but I've gotten behind. The articles are *extremely* well researched and documented.

This is the 11th piece dogemperor has written about Palin's ties with extremist dominionist groups - the first one was written the very day her selection was announced.
This page includes links to all of them: http://dogemperor.dailykos.com/
It's really worth learning about these people. Takes some time to read dogemperor's pieces, and you may have to do it in small pieces because it's such scary, scary shit, but it's important to know what they're up to.

27. I must disagree. They have one of their own running for VP and almost had Huckabee running for Prez.
They have been working for years to get their people on everything from school boards up to Prez. They use stealth programs like Character First! to gain access to schools, prisons, and the police. They are not all powerful but they are determined and do a pretty good job of looking harmless until they set their hooks.

How much more hubris will you witness before you realize we need to be spending every free hour writing our so called representatives (because it really IS only the job they are most concerned about) and the news outlets, local and national...the obvious is staring you in the face. Those of you who have called others RUDE for being angry and bitter and confrontational...do you now see WHY we have been so confrontational???

33. These links should be a separate thread! UNBELIEVABLE!
This from talk2action link---

"Recently Salon has featured several articles by writers who have written about the 40 day fast and other efforts of the leadership of the New Apostolic Reformation to impact the election in Palin's favor but the press has failed to piece together the larger story of this worldwide movement and its relationship to Palin."

In the theocracywatch link I watched a video of a 'school' in Wassila,AK. Sounds cultish to me. So-o much on that link...scary stuff to me.

I can't explain all that I read; you'll have to read it for yourselves. The choice of sarah palin was most likely not a quicky decision, in my book. Two things here: 1) Do we know anything about McCain's religious affiliation(s)? and 2) Picking palin may have been an economic boost for mcsame...it that he would be reaping the benefits of the religious far-right's network.

Thank you so much for posting these links Shallah.

bush and his 'wonder working power' is heavily connected to this bunch and his administration has done such wonderful things for America. They want old testament law to replace the constitution. many of them think anyone who does not believe as they do are either willingly or unwillingly in league with the devil. some want to take over politically and financially. some are gearing up militarily when they aren't moved by what they think is the Holy Spirit to kick little old ladies with cancer in the face with biker boots -

42. 'American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America' by Chris Hedges
Everyone should read this book. It's frightening. Here is a link to the DU non-fiction forum discussion of it.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=209&topic_id=5027

Hedges says that we should not tolerate these people or this 'religion.' By tolerating these types of belief, we are actually tolerating intolerance. These people are not tolerant of anyone who believes differently than they do & in their mind, there is no place for those different on this planet.

Sarah Palin is the scariest person to ever get this close to the White House.

49. Palin's churches all have ties to the same movement that spawned Jesus Camp & Joel's Army - link
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bruce-wilson/sarah-palins-churches-and_b_124611.html

Sarah Palin's churches are actively involved in a resurgent movement that was declared heretical by the Assemblies of God in 1949. This is the same 'Spiritual Warfare' movement that was featured in the award winning movie, "Jesus Camp," which showed young children being trained to do battle for the Lord. At least three of four of Palin's churches are involved with major organizations and leaders of this movement, which is referred to as The Third Wave of the Holy Spirit or the New Apostolic Reformation. The movement is training a young "Joel's Army" to take dominion over the United States and the world.

Along with her entire family, Sarah Palin was re-baptized at twelve at the Wasilla Assembly of God in Wasilla, Alaska and she attended the church from the time she was ten until 2002: over two and 1/2 decades. Sarah Palin's extensive pattern of association with the Wasilla Assembly of God has continued nearly up to the day she was picked by Senator John McCain as a vice-presidential running mate. Palin's dedication to the Wasilla church is indicated by a Saturday, September 7, 2008, McClatchy news service story detailing possibly improper use of state travel funds by Palin for a trip she made to Wasilla, Alaska to attend, on June 8, 2008, both a Wasilla Assembly of God "Masters Commission" graduation ceremony and also a multi-church Wasilla area event known as "One Lord Sunday." At the latter event, Palin and Alaska LT Governor Scott Parnell were publicly blessed, onstage before an estimated crowd of 6,000, through the "laying on of hands" by Wasilla Assembly of God's Head Pastor Ed Kalnins whose sermons espouse such theological concepts as the possession of geographic territories by demonic spirits and the inter-generational transmission of family "curses". Palin has also been blessed, or "anointed," by an African cleric, prominent in the Third Wave movement, who has repeatedly visited the Wasilla Assembly of God and claims to have effected positive, dramatic social change in a Kenyan town by driving out a "spirit of witchcraft."

The Wasilla Assembly of God church is deeply involved with both Third Wave activities and theology. Their Master's Commission program is part of an three year post-high school international training program with studies in prophecy, intercessory prayer, Biblical exegesis, authority and leadership. The pastor, Ed Kalnins, and Masters Commission students have traveled to South Carolina to participate in a "prophetic conference" at Morningstar Ministries, one of the major ministries of the Third Wave movement. Becky Fischer was a pastor at Morningstar prior to being featured in the movie "Jesus Camp." The head of prophecy at Morningstar, Steve Thompson, is currently scheduled to do a prophecy seminar at the Wasilla Assembly of God. Other major leaders in the movement have also traveled to Wasilla to visit and speak at the church.

The Third Wave is a revival of the theology of the Latter Rain tent revivals of the 1950s and 1960s led by William Branham and others. It is based on the idea that in the end times there will be an outpouring of supernatural powers on a group of Christians that will take authority over the existing church and the world. The believing Christians of the world will be reorganized under the Fivefold Ministry and the church restructured under the authority of Prophets and Apostles and others anointed by God. The young generation will form "Joel's Army" to rise up and battle evil and retake the earth for God.
