I still remember Rush when he said that they were doing something
about FDR's legacy...

:puke:

Anyhow, last night Obama hinted strongly at the come back of the WPA... he just didn't use the scary letters (from a Rush perspective)

And listening to Biden today... what he spoke about reforming laws, renegotiating home loans and all that... is essentially the FDR great Depression era housing program.

All I can say to Rush is... FDR lives and is now out of life support

Chew on that...

And remember to keep contacting congress critters, they will NOT go there unless they get a fire going, from bellow

And I am as much a cynic as you when it comes to this, but I still contact them

2. We absolutely need to go there
The corporate elite has worked tirelessly for decades to convince you otherwise, but it was FDR and the New Deal that got us out of the Great Depression. The New Deal policies allowed us to transition from a war economy to a peacetime economy after WWII.

But by the time Vietnam was over there were massive loopholes in the tax code. Carter was not inclined to "stick it to the man" the way FDR did, and as a result we were hit by a pretty bad recession during his administration. When Reagan was elected people were ready to buy into the rhetoric that government was nothing but a hindrance to prosperity.

Since then the national debt has exploded, corporate profits have skyrocketed, and the middle class has shrunk.

Here is an article that pretty well describes the path we have taken since FDR.

The fat cats will stop at nothing to suppress this thinking. Don't forget they tried to overthrow FDR in a coup.

3. I have been saying this for some time
we need a New Deal, not a bank bail out. You lay the foundation, at the bottom. Get money and work into the hands of the lower to middle class and prosperity will bubble up. Trickle down has never worked.

NEW DEAL.
