Know what irks me?
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 10:38 PM by HEyHEY
People here saying, "Oh, McCain is a racist! He didn't call the black woman by her name!"

Yet, it's okay to defend candidates on their anti-gay marriage views? Yeah, real defenders of civil rights you all are.

Are you for civil rights? Or against them. Cause this all just seems hypocritical to me. Maybe something to think about.

1. I've never defended Obama on his anti-gay marriage views.
It's one thing that I don't agree with Obama about. Practically the only thing.

But John McCain? I disagree with him on the whole entirety of his views.

That's why I'm voting for Obama.

3. I agree
we need better dems, in 20 years people will look back at the anti-gay sentiment in this country and wonder how it could have ever been so, we're not there yet but we will be

4. I didn't defend any of them on that
I'm all for gay marriage. But you have to understand that Federal government under Obama/Biden will not forbid gay marriage in any state.

6. I don't want civil rights I want equal rights

He is a racist and what! Disrespect is disrespect. Obama has the bar set higher gets tagged teamed by the white T.V. pundits daily. Has more negative coverage from MSM and he is still moving on. His wife and family have been talked about lied on and mistreated. He keeps it moving. My advice to you. Stop being hateful and keep it moving.
Walk a day in a black woman's shoes then post.

I'm making a point that people here are picking and chosing who is worthy of rights. Read and compute.

8. Obama can go pound sand as far as I'm concerned when it comes to Marriage Equality...
I'm only voting for him because there's a lack of choice, but that doesn't mean I'll ever excuse his horrendous position, or that even bother defending it. Civil Rights should not be put on the back burner because of political expediency, but too many people on this board do think they should be put there.
