Question: What's the Repub equivalent to DU?
I'll prolly feel sick after a few minutes and regret it, but I'm curious about how things are playing among them.

5. That place is such a shithole
They need to hire some real designers and programmers. The forum is awful, the graphic style went out of vogue in 1998, and the company is ill-mannered and uneducated.

9. For real
It looks like somebody designed it by hand with a pencil and notebook paper, and then just taped the result to my monitor.

Anyway as for the freerepublic I've only visited that place a handful of times, seemed full of wackos then and I doubt its changed much since I last was there.

crappy interface they got there.

most disheartening is that the one substantive thing I came across during my brief visit was a video of CNN reporting on Obama's association with Bill Ayers.

Has anyone bothered to point out, b.t.w., that the Weather Underground was always careful to time its bombings and even give warnings to ensure that no people were hurt, and that in fact the only individual who died was a member who blew himself up while assembling a bomb?

On the other hand, they were struggling against a deceptive and destructive war in which innocents were dying daily, after many more peaceful means of opposition and protest had failed to bring a halt to the bloodshed? (Not counting the member shot by the FBI in his bed.)

Sorry to wander off topic, but I'd far rather be associated with Ayers than Bush or anyone else in his admin.

Circling back . . . the horror isn't just the Freepers; it's that CNN reported all this like a Freeper. It was almost hilarious -- they were reporting in this ominous voice-over how Ayers had won an award from the City of Chicago for bringing funds to educational programs for children that actually taught about, among other things, peace -- and Obama was actually on the same committee as this figure! I mean, how sinister can things get!

Obama says it that way ‘cause he wants to sound especially intelligent and in tune with his fellow Arabs/Muslims...also ‘cause he’s the world’s biggest snob.

I think McCain will get a modest bounce from this debate.

Wow..can I have some of that happy juice you apparently are imbibing in?

I hope to GOD that you are right - but I think we just lost the election tonight.

Mac was HORRIBLE. Off. Wheezy. Weak. Obambi was strong, confident and did his typical happy talk that goes over with 99.99999% of the masses who pick Presidents like we pick the American idol.

Bookmark my post and come back in 5 days - Obambi will likely widen the lead, as much as it chagrins/depresses me to say it.

Looks like Brokaw won’t give McCain an opening to bring up Ayers, Wright, etc. (not that he would, anyway).

Not surprising. McCain should hit on these topics in the stump speeches and in TV ads.

i thought he said a soft stick ROFL.
I think mccain is doing great, better than expected and obama is leaving behind a lot of fodder for after the debate! no, he aint dishing out the red meat, but that aint his job. its palins (and she nails it)mccain needs the hillary voters, the ones that are not pumas, and indys.
Yah, obama is smooth, but come across as smug, no one likes a smug ahole!

McCain is so kicking ass late in the debate. He is showing matery of the issues. Obama stammers and blathers and is on the defensive.

Obama: "I agree with Senator McCain". Is he going to say that more times than Biden said he agreed with Governor Palin?

I think that's their key talking point: We'll go along with the other guys, but you get the first black president too if you vote for us.
