Are presidential election landslides not entertaining?
why do they media seem to think a tight 50-50 race is better for their bottom line?

1. why do they media seem to think a tight 50-50 race is better for their bottom line?
Because they lose the demoralized GOP voters as an audience?

2. If it's close, it can be stolen
and they're setting us up for the probability. The GOP has cheated a consistent 4%.

However, if it's a real landslide, it won't be stolen. It will just appear close. They're setting us up for that, too.

3. Because it's more dramatic over the long term.
An election landslide is a week's worth of story, tops. If the race is close all the way in, they can harp on it constantly for months, get ratings, and sell more ads.

What they don't realize is that after two fucking years of this goddamn campaign we all just want it to be OVER.

7. Ya, if McCain were in the lead(never happen)
They'd be all over that- "The mandate of the people!"

If it's us, they have to play 50-50 so it can be stolen.

5. I think it is money

Look at who owns our media, who has supported republican policies and will benefit from a republican win. As usual we only need to follow the money.

6. With Shrub at 75% disapproval
of course they would gain more viewers if 75% of their coverage was attacks against Bush. But they don't, they act as though he's a bystander to all these catastrophes he's created.
