CLINT ALMOST IN SARAH'S CORNER

CLINT Eastwood made it clear who won last week's vice-presidential debate in an interview he did Saturday as part of The New Yorker Festival with the magazine's legendary Lillian Ross.

"One of the candidates the other night seemed more prone to telling the truth than the other," Eastwood said. The cheese-and-Chardonnay crowd laughed, presumably because they thought he meant Joe Biden.

But the laughs among the 300 worshipful movie buffs at the Directors Guild theater dried up when Ross interjected, "I liked her, too!"

Eastwood went on to talk about how well "she" did, although he stopped short of a ringing endorsement. ....

SCREECHING FIT

MADONNA better not take her act to Alaska. At one point during the US kickoff of her "Sticky and Sweet" tour at the Meadowlands Saturday night, the Material Mom indulged her Republican-hating ways, shouting, "Sarah Palin can't come to my party. Sarah Palin can't come to my show. It's nothing personal." Then the kabbalah queen told the crowd, "Here's the sound of Sarah Palin's husband's snowmobile when it won't start," followed by a loud screeching noise.

1. Eastwood is a 0 to me from this point forward.
I've always known about his leanings, but this is too much.

He's old and mean. Does he drink?

In 1999 to Democrat Bill Bradly for President

2. Clint Eastwood would be best served to remember how the fundies were screaming for his figurative
head on a platter for daring to star in the movie "Million Dollar Baby."

I remember when those against "death with dignity" thugs came down hard on Eastwood and he was understandable miffed.

Too bad that he's back to "Dirty Harry" mode. :(

5. Eastwood sucks from this point forward with me.
He is not cool, he is not tough. He's an idiot.

I'll add him to my list of actors/actresses I used to like but will not support any longer due to their extreme and backwoods political beliefs.

See ya, Dirty Harry. You really are dirty, and so is the political party you support. :(

21. I do. I will not support anyone who openly supports fascists and extremists
As long as Eastwood leaves it at that, I can overlook it. However, if he openly endorses the Rethugs, or campaigns for them, then he is dead to me. And I've been a lifelong fan of his.

8. Like Madonna would ever go to Alaska anyway......
.... There are almost as many people at one of her shows as there are in that whole state....

The NY Post isn't fit to line a birdcage.

...but if Mel Gibson is a talented actor, the river is whiskey, & I'm a diving duck.
