Someone(s) somewhere in the system worked hard to print 10k at the close. Futures look like they've already slipped into the 9,998 territory but tonight's news won't be able to say "closed below 10000 for the first time since early 2004". They also won't say that, as a country, we've pretty much given away 4 years worth of growth in the last 6 months.
