"I was reading my copy of the New York Times the other day," she said.
Posted in GDP and it was yanked down

Anyway, the point was, my copy implies a subscription that she couldn't remember when she interviewed with Katie Couric?

The article she's referring to was published on Oct 4th. So did she find her copy at the laundromat?

2. that's a rather odd phrasing
wouldn't a normal person say something more like "I was reading the Times the other day" or "I read in the Times" or even "The Times had an article on".

I hope Nov. 4th comes real soon so I don't have to listen to anymore Palin-speak.

3. Recognize that she only speaks from a script...

Then this is a subliminal refutation of the newspaper foot in mouth problem with her base, and the phrasing makes perfect sense.

4. You caught that, too?
Let us now refute her blind blathering about what she reads in response to Katie Couric's question.

Now, she'll go out of her way to mention publications like the NY Times.

Someone should ask her what she thought of the Times' story about McPOW and his lobbyist girlfriend................

5. I just heard the quote on the Ron Kuby show

she says "A copy of the New York Times". Though, given that the article was a couple days old, it still sounds like she found the paper laying around somewhere. In fact, maybe even more so because if it was HER copy it might imply that she paid for it.

Did he have it taped?
The headline was taken from a quote by Dana Milbanks.

Is the tape from the same speech?

I know, it's trivial, but I live for trivia ;)

8. It was a tape of Palin making the statement
maybe that's been her standard speech today and she's said it more than once; sometimes saying "A" and somtimes saying "My"?

6. Maybe people felt sorry for her and mailed her all sorts of mags/newspapers so she'd have 1 of each
and could read "them all".
