Another DUer posted that Lauer asked Robert Kennedy, Jr. how his dad was doing--after introducing him as the son of Robert Kennedy.

Presumably, Lauer meant to ask RFK, Jr how his Uncle Teddy was doing.

Once, you've stopped laughing, try to answer this: after asking a question like that, what other jobs do you feel Matt Lauer is qualified for?

5. I saw it live and I'll give him some slack here. I think that he had Bobby Kennedy

on his mind knowing that he was going to be interviewing his son. So that when he asked RFK Jr. how his Dad was doing, not once but twice. He did ask twice because Bobby Jr. I think was so shocked at the question, of course he didn't reply the first time. Then Matt, very embarrassed said that he meant his Uncle Ted.

Matt is from NY. He was probably around 9 when Bobby was killed and I'm sure it left a big impression on him.

I've been having headaches for about the past month, and can barely stay focused. I'll find my thought jumbling up, and I get confused easily now. I doubt Lauer had this same problem, but it's enough to make me sympathetic. I doubt Lauer is stupid enough to think what he said, he probably just got that "deer in the headlights" thing going on which has been happening to me waaaaaaaay too much lately.

I don't know what's causing my problems, but I've been under a lot of stress and had a lot of anxiety lately, so maybe he is going through some of the same issues. Or maybe he just had a brain fart :) A pretty awful one, but I don't think he did it on purpose, or out of stupidity. We've all had our moments, I'm sure.
