So did Sarah Palin just condemn me to hell?
Because I don't support her, and I am a woman? Not just Hell, but a "special place in Hell."

Then again, if we take her literally, she just condemned herself to a special place in Hell - given her mocking commentary last Spring about presidential primary candidate Hillary Clinton being a whiner.

Interesting what one is capable of saying when one relegates the thinking to someone else other than oneself (ala a speechwriter).

2. Yes but she condemned me too and I don't care
In the grand scheme of things, Sarah Palin's condemnation is at the bottom of the list of things I am worried about.

11. ah - but she attests to believe in it
and has smarmily condemned herself per her comments towards Hillary - and toward a fellow republican female state senator in Alaska (Lyda Green?)

I always find irony - interesting.

21. Here's the thing
Women who don't support Palin are going to hell, but since Palin, by her extremist views, doesn't support women either, she's going to hell too. Now there are going to be women who support you, and they're going to hell too, and the women who do support Palin are - by the transitive property of if a=b and b=c then a=c - not supporting women because Palin isn't and thus going to hell too.

So basically, all women are going to hell. :sarcasm:

24. Yeah probably
Heaven, the best I can tell with these religious fundamentalists, has limited seating.

The rest of us are going to burn

George Carlin covers it:

"When it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!"

26. In case no one has seen, here is Palin's comments and Albright's response.
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 11:20 PM by Incitatus
At a rally on Saturday in California, Sarah Palin offered up a rather jarring argument for supporting the Republican ticket. "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women," the Alaska Governor said, claiming she was quoting former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Albright responded to Palin's remarks in a statement to the Huffington Post on Sunday. "Though I am flattered that Governor Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics. This is yet another example of McCain and Palin distorting the truth, and all the more reason to remember that this campaign is not about gender, it is about which candidate has an agenda that will improve the lives of all Americans, including women. The truth is, if you care about the status of women in our society and in our troubled economy, the best choice by far is Obama-Biden."

27. Total Vapidity
I honestly think this lady's mind is void of any real critical thinking...it's all been fermented in an isolated world of sermons and talking points. She's learned to use the "wink" and the aggressive to get ahead...especially in the GOOP world where "spunk" is attributed to those who can spew the talking points and insults. She's all programmed and manipulated and seems to be the most comfortable in that situation. Force her to be impromptu and the gibbrish flows.

Since the day her name appeared on the national scene, I considered her an insult to women...trying to ride on Hillary's coat tails in a move by the most cynical and mysogonistic candidate in history. She's not there for who she is, but for what she is...GOOP affirmative action at work.

Grandma Barracuda's hell will be here on earth as her life continues to be a "Palin Place" of tabloid interest and ridicule. I can't see her and her fragile ego taking those Tina Fey parodies too easily. I also have long felt for her daughter. Bristol, who was humilitated in front of the world and now is shoved off to the side...or the poor baby that has been used as a prop...I won't even get into my outrage about her irresponsibility to that special needs child.

Good to see you...

Cheers...

 I wish she and every one else who believe in this invisible fairy tale crap would just keep it to themselves. The World would be a better place for it.
