After all, he is the husband and the biblical head of the household--she should be doing what he wants, not anybody else.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when he was "upset" because Sarah wasn't spending enough time with him? Same thing. I would imagine that's why he sat in on so many official meetings in Alaska--he was asserting his right as the head of the household and her husband. She probably can't be anything unless he's right behind her.
