1. I don't see any signs of that...
Not that I consider it inherently impossible, but that requires a fairly conscious decision to just say "fuck it" and print money.

13. What they did today should devalue the dollar, but...
not into "wheelbarrels of million-dollar-bills" territory.

really? I don't know but most are pretty sure that it will?? that will kill most of us. I guess this will be some of the last days of our great conversations because many here won't be able to afford the internet anymore.

Just about got it. Doing final calculations right now.

Carry the 1. Factor the growth rate. Subtract the imports. Tithe to the oil ministry.

Fuel & food were factored out of the equation long ago to keep the official inflation numbers down.
We're doomed to relive the 80's because the Iraq war debt will catch up just like the bill for Vietnam did.
St ronnie blamed Carter for the mess. This time Obama will take the heat from the repukes although he had nothing to do with creating the mess.

11. I think it will be President Obama's supply-side bailout of the bailout
that triggers hyperinflation, when all the Saudis and Japanese and Chinese and wall streeters figure they've gotten all there is to get. they'll bail, the dollar will be worthless and a loaf of bread will cost $700 trillion.

We became Argentina today.
