In return for a few miserly Millions in campaign contributions, they get $700 Billion in return.

Nitpickers might call them bribes, but who is going to quibble over details, right?

2. They're just thinking of the future.
It doesn't matter if they get voted out of office. There are nice cushy jobs as lobbyists and executives waiting for them.

They get theirs and fuck the rest of us.
