John McCain's "plan" for health care is, well, stupid
"Ooooh boy, health insurance for everyone!!!! Problem solved, now there's no need for national heath care!!!!"

I want to debate this using finer points, but I think "STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!" will sum it up nicely.

Where in John McCain's so-called plan does it forbid health insurance companies from denying a person treatment because something is "experimental," "experimental" defined by them of course?

Where in John McCain's so-called plan does it forbid health insurance companies from denying a person treatment because they don't feel like paying for it?

Where in John McCain's so-called plan does it protect people who have health insurance and STILL go bankrupt because their treatment costs tens of thousands of dollars?

John McCain's health care plan: Like a shotgun to a broken bone.

3. It's a bullshit non-starter plan designed to fail and preserve the status quo

How hard do you think he'll really push his health care plan? They just adopted some RW think tank position for the sake of having one. To pretend like they give two shits when they don't. To McCain the status quo with people going bankrupt and being uninsured is just fine. Sure if the people in McCain's administration that are in charge of domestic policy (which I suspect he has no interest in beyond settling political scores) get an opening (Like Bush did with the Medicare Drug Bill) to give billions to their buddies in the insurance industry, they'll do it, but that's about it. Health care doesn't excite McCain like the prospects of bombing Iran and settling political scores with his enemies do.
