Thomas Jefferson on Banking Institutions

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Yeah, well, I'm sure the people that were living here before they were conquered by those fathers said basically the same thing. Things change I guess. Good time to remember that this problem isn't just from the last 8 years, or the last 28 years, or even the last 200 years.

He'd be out there kicking some ass. Jefferson never took time to be weepy. If he saw something he didn't like, he took action. He would definitely be mightily pissed, but weepy? Please.
