So I`m not too proud to admit I was wrong re Joe Biden
Joe Biden`s support of the RAVE act pissed me off. As you will see from my links below, we use music to get our point of view across and Joe Biden hurt our platform. I still think he was wrong. However, watching him tonight with my wife, who doesn`t vote, made me think that God Forbid anything ever happened to Obama, we would be in a very good position.

The man ooozes class, I received a phone call from a very good republican friend, who has never voted Dem, who said as a result of Joe Biden`s performance tonight, he is actually thinking of switching his vote. He wasn`t voting Repug this election no matter what, but this is a huge step forward.

My wife, who hates politics, watched the debate and said, I am registering to vote tomorrow. This is as a direct result of Joe Biden`s performance tonight, nothing else (oh, her intense dislike for Palin may have had something to do with it as well).

So for what it is worth, I was wrong about Joe Biden and I am so pleased that he is on this ticket, for the first time in months I have some hope for all our futures.

1. Good for you! And great for your wife!
Politics makes for such profoundly entrenched views that it's hard to revise them even when faced with a solid reason to do so. I applaud your change of heart about Biden.

And I definitely applaud your wife for making the correct decision!

2. I am so damned glad.
I don't know what RAVE is, I'm sorry. I will look it up ( not tonight -- I'm celebrating). But I am so relieved that Joe was able to bring non-voters and Republicans over to support our guys.

I have a feeling a lot of women have had just about enough of Sarah and her fake folksiness.

3. Joe Biden is a great human being
and has for years had a welcome in my home he will never know about. (Seriously, Joe, if ya ever need a place to crash in Georgia, Trav's house is yours. Yer good people.)

So your friend and your wife just got to know Joe a bit.

I did not support Joe in the primaries. I was (hang head) an Edwards guy. But I've always liked him.

4. I wasn't too happy with Obama's vote to fund the war...

or to give retroactive telecom immunity. Or to support AIPAC.

But to let a McCain/Palin ticket into the White House would make the last 8 years look like a cakewalk.

We've gotta' use what we have in common to come together, while using the things that make us different to push forward with real change.

Obama is honestly my last hope for this country. If he doesn't win there will be riots in the streets, and I will join in.

And I am decidedly white.

Edited for Palanism (typos).

5. RAVE Act found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAVE_Act#Purpose_of_the_Act

It's a bill basically perpetuating the failure known as the War on Drugs.

9. Yeps... It wasn`t the RAVE act so much, but had he banned all ages events rather than
blanket everyone with the same brush I could have understood his reasoning.

No matter what, damn I`m impressed with his performance tonight...

12. Joe has that effect on people
I don't agree with everything he's done, but I really believe in him as a public servant. There is nothing pretentious about Biden - he is the real deal and he is truly an asset to this ticket.

Good for your wife!

14. Biden
was a gentleman and a scholar. He was never rude nor hostile. He looked wonderful and he spoke to all of us who are voting for our candidate.

I have never been a big fan of Biden's but I was very proud to have him on the ticket. Palin was so condescending and arrogant in her Joe Sixpack speak - I hate her... HATE, LOATH her.
