Will financial turmoil put golf in a hole?

Golf isn’t the only sport being hit, as Fox Sports identified the financial sector as the biggest sector absent from postseason baseball. But golf is unusually dependent on revenue from the financial category, with about 25 percent of network ad time coming from that area. Plus, nearly one-third of all events sanctioned by the PGA Tour are sponsored by banks, investment firms, credit card distributors or financial consultancies, putting golf at the biggest risk from the crisis.

1. There is no group of professional athletes more in the pocket of Wall Street
than PGA tour golfers. Over the years I've read story after story about their near unanimous support of puke causes and utter hatred for the Dems and leftist causes. And what it boils down to is they are violently opposed to any taxation for the wealthy. It would not hurt my feelings one iota if the bottom dropped out of the prize money for these spoiled overgrown sheltered children.

2. They are RW all the way
there was an article (BBC I think) about how ravenously RW they are. Rush Limbaugh was celebrated as a GOD when he played at Pebble Beach a few years ago.

Brad Faxon is the only one that consistently gives to anyone NOT Republican. Oh John Daly is true blue Dem

4. Retired people put their money BANKS. Then they play golf.
Then they watch golf on TV. And then they change BANKS.
