OMG, Howard Fineman let his hair grow out in it's natural color.
He looks so much better (relatively speaking) than when I last remember seeing him. I think he had dyed it black.

1. Impossible.
I saw him last week and it was that reddish brown with grey roots.

I know it's pretty much just me... but I think dyeing hair is so stupid.

6. Huh, I don't see "but not on a woman" in that post.
Just reread and nope. I don't see "not on a dog" either. They are talking about a man, perhaps that is why that is said? Hm?

Yes, nice try. Still don't see "not a woman" in that post though.

It certainly looks stupid on a man.
Why would you think it looks stupid on a man, but not a woman?

15. Deductive logic.
Oh, and you can stop with your little quest to prove me wrong now. They did, in fact, intend to exclude women.

Of course, I already knew that.

19. I bow to your wisdom of that poster.
I try not to assume since I don't know everyone's posting style, everyone's opinions. There are a few that I do know and can jump to assumptions about. I guess this was one where you and the poster had a previous knowledge of each other.

claim that I already knew he was evil. If we had some previous altercation on this subject, I don't remember it.

What I do know is that if one states an opinion about people who dye their hair, but limits that opinion to address only men... that only leaves one group out. That's why I said "deductive logic".

22. I figure if they are discussing a man doing it, and say they don't like it when men do it
that is following along with the topic.

And no, not basing this on his claim, but on your claiming "not on women" when I didn't see that. So, that assumption, excuse me, deduction, was wrong.

23. Sorry, but no.
"It certainly looks stupid on men." The implication is - "but not on women".

One could have chosen their words poorly, and not meant to imply that... but that is the implication, nonetheless.

10. Because I'm evil Redqueen. But you knew that...
It's simply this: most people --women as well as men- admire it when a woman is able to preserve her youthful looks by hair coloring done well, but when a man's hair is dyed it usually stands out more, since few men resort to that practice. When a man's face and his hair color do not match up it is more noticeable, and he then looks out of step, insecure and silly. It's a culturally conditioned judgment and that's all.

25. Women who dye hair - admired.
Men who dye hair - insecure and silly.

I'm not saying you're evil... I thought you and I usually got on pretty well actually.

It's just that I'm done tolerating any of this... or tolerating the tolerance of it. I'm not intending to call you out... or saying you personally believe whatever cultural judgments... I'm intending only to call the BS out.

Cause honestly... just... enough.

Where do people think all that dye ends up?

That shit is toxic to humans and animal life.

I think dyeing hair is downright silly. Cindy McCain as a 54 year old platinum blond is absurd. How can anyone think that looks good?

36. Count me in too, redqueen
I used to do the color weave deal, thinking the chemical level is much smaller. It is, but dammit! I'm sick and tired of liking the look of distinguished grey-headed men! I say distinguished grey-headed women should unite! I'm white at the temples, and I've earned each and every one of those pale beauties! Besides, since those hairs are really, really white, I've decided I'm going platinum blond instead of grey! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Seriously, I'm letting it all grow out... I have a long blond and brown French braid down the back of my head, and it hangs to my waist. I'm just going to keep it braided and watch the white take over:)

32. Cindy McCains hair is white
Her hair began turning gray in the 90's.

I've no love for the woman but I do know hair. She might use some sort of blue-based product to keep it from yellowing but that woman's hair is pretty much all white.

My former brother-in-law is a news anchor and colors his hair on orders from the station.

Sometimes you do whatchagottado to keep the job. Hair color is a relatively minor concession.
