About this whole "is there any other ruling that you disagree with" Katie ask both Biden and Palin and just watching those two side by side... WOW that is all I have to say just wow... this is prob old news here but I don't get on here much so I am just throwing that out here for now :)

1. 'Cause it stumped her and not him?
Any question she painfully doesn't answer well is a gotcha question.

2. Did Couric interview Biden?
I honestly never heard a thing about that (don't watch tv)... he must not have fallen on his face.

I'm going to go look at the youtube clips if there are any...

5. Yeah she did. I think that is when he said something about FDR and television, didn't see it
but they have been showing clips of him and Palin on their interviews and debates they have had.

9. the FDR comment was on the bus, judicial questions were same format as Palin except
I think she interviewed him first, and may have given Palin more "hints" on the privacy issue in the 2nd one. I don't think the ?s were 100% identical because Palin got more prompting, but not sure.

Video of both was posted by Wetzelbill in the video forum.

18. I just looked at Wetzelbill's link...
Holy moly! I saw bits of the Palin interview before, and she was so awful and flummoxed it actually did kind of reflect badly on Couric -- it made her look mean! But then you see her with Biden and how beautifully clear and straight-forward he was, and it's obvious that Couric was just being unusually serious and professional. Which of course she should be.

There. Is. No. Contest.

13. She asked the same questions to both of them
If you watch the two answers, the contrast is stunning. Biden is smart, intelligent and comes across very knowledgeable while Palin...

3. Hey when they say a question from a voter is a gotcha question, its a lost cause. McCain's campaign
is a totally clueless campaign. Dam, the guy is a war hero, a POW, everyone is supposed to bow to this guy on whatever he wants.

4. If she's asked the question first and screws up, then it was a "gotcha" question

6. Couldn't bear to watch her Couric interview...
Taught HS for 30 years, and I felt the same way when one of my students gave an awful oral report.

I was cringing because of her cluelessness and hoping for a fire drill... or anything... to mercifully end the agony for everyone.

8. Because to Palin, "gotcha question" is synonymous with "question". nt

10. Realistically, it could be done
If a question is chosen that the moderator is reasonably sure that Palin would be unable to answer in an intelligent manner, but would be pretty much a gimme question to Biden... I guess that could be construed as a 'gotcha' question.

Still, with such a huge disparity between the intellect and experience or Palin and Biden, that makes just about ANY question a gotcha.

11. I don't think there is a gotcha question. I think one should
answer the question. If one doesn't know the answer, say I don't know. But maybe not I'll research that and get back to ya.

Southernleftylady...I love your cakes.

12. "I 'gotcha' to admit that you're not fit to be VP and one geriatric
heartbeat away from being POTUS." That's the kind of "gotcha" that we need. It's called journalism.
