It is sad to watch the Democrats slowly morph into the "anti-tax" Party. Sometimes when you are trying to defend the "little guy" and the working man, the tax laws are all that we have to defend ourselves and to keep the robber barons and greedy Wall Street thieves from stealing us blind.
If those very wealthy are willing to take everything they can get their greedy paws upon, then we have no choice. They refuse to raise wages to keep up with the cost of living. They refuse to give raises to their employees when productivity is at record levels. They refuse to give national health care to our people. They fight unions as if they were the devil incarnate. They refuse to contribute their fair share to keeping our infrastructure up to par. They slip their tax havens off shore - as well as their jobs. They look for the cheapest labor they can find so they can get the best bonuses for their CEO's and the best dividends for their stock holders.
Meanwhile, the rest of us are left the scraps - to fight over as we please. It doesn't matter what percentage the top 5% are paying if they are getting all the wealth. It is time to make them pay. If they wish to go elsewhere, then good riddance!
